On Saturday September 26th we are hosting our first annual Homecoming Party. This yearly event is invite only, and you might be wondering how to get your name on this list?

Homecoming is open to Alumni (aka former staff), Current Staff (aka the people who make it all happen at BORN), and our regulars (aka the people we know by name...or beer order!). Homecoming includes a limited heritage merch release and a beer release from the archives, as well as discounts for our VIPs PLUS we'll be nominating a 2026 Homecoming Court complete with crowns! If you weren't on the list this year then be sure to stop by the taproom over the next few months, the better we get to know you the more likely you'll be on the guest list in 2027!

On September 20th we’re transforming the BBCO Taproom into an old school book fair with some grown up flair. Enjoy our Cozy reading nook and start reading your new books right away! Owl’s Nest Books will have books and book lover merchandise. The Calgary Public Library Foundation will be on site for you to learn about the great work they do to support our city's libraries. Snowman Pizza will be serving up fresh ZA all day so you can eat between browsing, plus we will have a Book & Beer Pairing and our taps will be flowing with all your favourite BBCO beers.

Grab a cold beer, find your next favorite book, and connect with fellow readers in a relaxed atmosphere. This is the perfect chance to support local businesses while indulging your love for literature.

“At The Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Centre, our mission is to support and connect individuals navigating all forms of reproductive grief. To ensure no one has to walk this path alone, we are dedicated to providing a variety of no-cost mental health support including dedicated peer mentorship, support groups and professional one-on-one coaching and counseling sessions. We are sincerely grateful for your support  in making this vital support possible for families facing pregnancy loss, infant loss and infertility."

Thursday July 23rd, we are teaming up with The Calgary Fire Burn Treatment Society (CFBTS)

“The Calgary Firefighters Burn Treatment Society (@_cfbts_) is a registered non-profit charity organization supported by 1000+ professional Calgary Firefighters. We dedicate and volunteer our off-duty firefighting hours towards raising funds and awareness for the Calgary Firefighter’s Burn Treatment Centre at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, Alberta. This fundraising ensures that money is available for upgrades, as necessary, to the highly specialized equipment. It also provides the burn unit health care team with opportunities to attend continuing education programs to remain current in new treatment techniques.”
