... The chairlift was just cresting over the timberline. Ahead lay only craggy peaks, cornices and fresh powder that seemed to go on forever. We were some of the first up the lift line that day and we were going to make the most of it. Stretching our first run of the day from peak to base, from timberline to lodge. The anticipation was building and we both let out a little "woop" when our boards hit the fluffy white snow...
