Our first summit attempt was Cotopaxi, a volcano so massive and surreal it felt like we were hiking into a painting. Most people might rest after something like that. But three days later, there we were again, lacing our boots for Chimborazo. It was brutal. Every breath felt earned. But hiking alongside my dad, we pushed past 17,000 vertical feet, fueled by stubbornness, awe, and the kind of bond that only deepens above the clouds....
